Webster Joins Newspaper

Webster the Newshound is enthusiastic about his new duties. "Now I sniff out the NEWS," he says. "I can find stories where nobody else would think to look."

When Webster first became a newshound, he had to learn the newspaper terminology. "If I'm going to 'walk the walk', I'd better learn to 'talk the talk'," he said.
Webster knew that it was important to know what everyone was talking about. "It's no good having a great nose for news if you don't know what's going to be done with it after you've sniffed it out!" he added.

    With a newshole to fill, every columnist assigned to a beat has got to know all about deadlines and editing.
    When the editor wants a lead, a feature or an editorial, everyone springs into action to get their copy in on time.
   All the while, display ads and classified ads are coming in. The newspaper has a large circulation and everyone is kept busy to make sure that each edition is accurate and comes out on time.

News from around the world indicates that there is unrest in the Middle East, population is increasing, real estate prices continue to rise, and trees are still being cut down in the rainforests at an alarming rate.
There were thunderstorms somewhere, and the entire planet is experiencing various forms of weather. The sun rose in the east and will set in the west, and while people of one hemisphere report increasing durations of sunlight, inhabitants of the other are noticing a decrease.
